Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and composer. Harry Styles has been recognized for his compositions to The One Direction band. Harry Styles was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1 1994. He is the son of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School in which he started his own band, composed of 3 schoolmates, which was dubbed the White Eskimo. Their excellent performances helped them beat their first Battle of Bands 2009. He was always interested in music but would like to work as an attorney or a physical therapist. When he worked in the city's pastry shop Harry Styles managed to feed his family. Harry Styles, in 2010, auditioned to be on The X Factor. His single Is not She Lovely was recorded by Stevie Wonder. The group had to separate. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they would form a group named One Direction after the X Factor audition. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group. They were first founded in the year 2010. They performed tracks such as My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the contenders for the prize. The group was however placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive any cash prize. However, Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds with One Direction in order for the group to be a part of Syco Records.
