Kelly Clarkson was an American artist and songwriter who was the sweetheart of America after she won American Idol in the first season. It was not just a major success and a huge success, it also earned the singer a contract to record numerous albums through RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records. Since then, she's made several studio albums, including three which topped the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just missed the coveted spot. She is considered one of most successful American Idol artists. To achieve her success she played around with various music styles and experimented on subjects. For her uniqueness and vocal prowess, she received critical acclaim as well as numerous accolades. She was awarded the Grammy Award 3 times. Apart from her music career she has also appeared in movies and television shows. She also wrote the children's storybook River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved with a number of charities.
