Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born on 16 April 1996 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a banker in the past. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a Psychotherapist. Her father was an Argentine and has Scottish and English roots. Her mother is of Spanish and English heritage. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children. Four of them are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. The family was initially of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatic and she did not learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Her school had to change between Northlands and then Hill House. After that, she went to Queen's Gate School in London in which she attended ballet classes as well as participated in drama productions. At the age of 16, she left school to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy had a destiny to become an actress from a very young age. Her dreams were realized when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
